Saving Energy
Saving energy is both good for the planet and for saving money. At the LCG Winter Talk on 7 March 2022 there were three topics with plenty of time for the audience (both live and virtual) to ask questions:
- Councillor Martyn Alvey, Cornwall Council Cabinet for Environment and Climate Change, was instrumental in the development of the Cornwall Climate Emergency and will discuss the implications for a parish like Landulph.
- Matthew Trevaskis, Drivenergy is responsible for installing and selling car charging products and will talk about the different options for charging an electric car including costs and the problem of houses without off-street parking.
- Community Energy Plus is an organisation providing independent energy advice to householders in Cornwall. Sandy George and Tim Jones will discuss heating and energy options with particular reference to old buildings. They will be bringing some materials with them and are very happy to answer questions. Community Energy plus have a wide range of useful leaflets on their website.
Please note these presentations from the event are available.
