Cargreen Yacht Club

We are one of the friendliest sailing clubs on the River Tamar. Run entirely by volunteers for the benefit of our members.  We have a very eclectic mix of members from all walks of life with a shared love of the water.

The White Sail Challenge offers gently competitive sailing for any type of yacht and dinghy, open to all. Crewing opportunities often available.

Our September Regatta is popular with other sailing clubs in the area with friendly rivalry and a fantastic opportunity to meet other local sailors and friends old and new.

We run various other events during the year and a programme of Winter Talks.

Shared social activities include informal BBQs, local choir practice, formal and informal dinners as well as private functions.

We have a thriving Cadet section, are an RYA Affiliated training centre. Cadets spend the season sharing learning. And polishing their sailing experiences as well as understanding the tidal range of our club. All abilities welcome.

Volunteers operate over 100 all tide moorings which cater for boats ranging from Shrimpers through classic wooden yachts to 12 metre modern cruisers. We also cater for sailing dinghies,  canoes and paddle boards.
