Who are the 3skinnybikers ?

We are all retired gentlemen with wanderlust in our DNA. Bob and Richard have worked as surveyors in the Far East for many years and Peter in the UK as lecturer in art and design.  We first got together in 2010 to cycle from Hanoi to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and since then have been reunited for similar adventures in Thailand, Cambodia,Myanmar and Europe.

Richard is the 'path finder' and route planner with Bob and Peter in support keeping an eye on Richard's appetite to 'boldly go' into the unknown. We all get along but we have our moments and frustrations - short lived, before pedalling on good spirits.  The adventures have been many, from been picked up by the the local police in the dead of night in Myanmar to negotiating donkey trails across mountain passes in Albania, keeping shepherd dogs the size of wolves at bay. Cultural highlights include the temples of Angkor Wat, hot air balloons at dawn over Bagan and street food, bia hoi and some of the best coffee in the world.

Ride on! Bob, Richard and Peter.  Follow their adventures below.
